Surviving to Thriving: Helping our centres

Posted on 27th April 2026

What a brilliant day at our recent Surviving to Thriving event, bringing together 28 people from across the sector for a genuinely valuable and uplifting experience.

It was fantastic to see so many individuals and centres coming together to share challenges, ideas and practical approaches to development. The openness in discussion and willingness to support one another created a really positive and collaborative atmosphere throughout the day.

A huge thank you goes to all of our speakers for their time, expertise and insight, including Catherine Chapman (CBA Services) and Louise Buckner (Island Riding). Their sessions provided valuable knowledge, practical guidance and plenty of food for thought for everyone attending.

We were delighted to receive such positive feedback from attendees, highlighting both the value of the content and the opportunity to connect with others in similar roles.

“Meeting so many people navigating the same challenges and discussing how we are all trying to evolve was invaluable. The team running the day are so friendly and professional, and the speakers were well thought out and provided valuable knowledge and insight.”
— Sarah Brear, Instructor, Wildwoods Riding Centre

“It was great to listen to such passionate people giving help, tips and advice on what has helped their business evolve successfully. Regulations were explained in a way that was easy to understand.”
— Andrew Pinner Equestrian

“It was a fab day… thoroughly enjoyed it and lots of useful information. Looking forward to the next one.”
— Wendy Firmin-Price, Holistic Horse and Pony Centre

All attending centres have now been issued CPD certificates, which continue to grow in importance in relation to inspections and ongoing professional development.

Thank you once again to everyone who attended and contributed to making the Surviving to Thriving event such a success. We look forward to continuing the journey with you at future events we are planning in other regions…watch this space.
