ABRS official statement regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, issued 18/03/2020.
“This is a concerning time for employers, employees and clients of riding schools and trekking centres. We advise that all of our centres have strict biosecurity protocols in place in line with government guidance on health, hygiene and self-isolation.
We support approved centres to operate with caution, but to remain operational with restrictions on group numbers and direct contact, with social distancing procedures in place to protect the vulnerable. Horse riding is an outdoor activity but with the correct biosecurity measures in place and maintained, horse riding can continue, where it is safe to do so.
We recommend that in line with Government guidance that all social gatherings within centres are postponed. We are here to provide support to our members through this challenging time.”
