Wrea Green Equitation Centre

Wrea Green Equitation Centre is a long-established and highly regarded equestrian training facility, founded in 1981 and recognised nationally as a Training and Examination Centre within the equine industry. The centre is subject to rigorous annual inspections and maintains consistently high standards of tuition, horse care, and customer experience, reflecting its strong reputation across the sector.

At its core, the centre is committed to providing inclusive, high-quality riding and education opportunities for riders of all ages and abilities. With provision for riders from as young as three years old, and dedicated accessibility features including wheelchair access and specialist programmes, Wrea Green supports both able-bodied and disabled riders through structured, progressive pathways.

The ethos of the centre places equal emphasis on rider development, horse welfare, and education. Carefully selected horses and ponies are chosen for their temperament, quality, and ability, ensuring a safe and confidence-building environment for all participants. Alongside riding instruction, the centre delivers a broad programme of equine education, including horse care, non-riding sessions, and accredited training designed to develop knowledge, responsibility, and practical skills for life within and beyond the equestrian industry.

Wrea Green Equitation Centre also plays an important role within the wider community, working with schools, colleges, charities, and local organisations to provide training, qualifications, and pathways into employment. Its programmes—such as Pony Club, Carrotot Club, and bespoke training initiatives—demonstrate a strong commitment to engaging young people, supporting learning through horses, and fostering confidence, wellbeing, and personal growth.
