The ABRS+ has appointed two new Trustees to the Board.

Jo Constantine, Director of Equine Assisted Services at Team Tutsham, and Louise Buckner, Proprietor of Island Riding Centre, have both accepted appointments and will bring a wealth of knowledge, experience and fresh perspectives to the organisation.

Both Jo and Louise have extensive experience of leading successful, innovative equestrian businesses and understand first-hand the opportunities and challenges facing riding schools today. Their practical knowledge will strengthen the Board as ABRS+ continues to support members to thrive while maintaining the highest standards of horse welfare.

Jo has played a key role in the development of Team Tutsham’s pioneering Equine Assisted Services provision, helping establish it as one of the UK’s leading centres in the field. Her experience spans equine-assisted learning, safeguarding, education and working with children and young people with a wide range of needs. As Equine Assisted Services continue to grow across the UK, Jo’s expertise will be invaluable in helping shape the future direction of this important area of ABRS+ activity.

Louise has successfully developed Island Riding Centre into a diverse, award-winning equestrian business with sustainability at its heart. She has been a leading advocate for practical environmental management, business diversification and modern approaches to horse welfare, demonstrating how riding centres can reduce their environmental impact while remaining commercially successful. Her experience will provide valuable insight as ABRS+ continues to support members in building resilient, sustainable businesses for the future.

Together, these appointments broaden the skills and expertise available to the Board and reinforce ABRS+’s commitment to supporting members across every aspect of modern riding school operation, from horse welfare and business sustainability to education, wellbeing and Equine Assisted Services.
