Stolen Blue Cross Pony

Posted on 28th May 2020

We would like to ask everyone to keep a look out for Basil, he is a Blue Cross pony who was stolen on the evening of Thursday 21 May from his loan home in Gloucestershire. His borrower is absolutely devastated, as you can imagine, and we really want to get Basil back home safe and sound.

Basil only has one eye. He is an 8hh, piebald gelding with distinctive markings, as you can see in his pictures. He is microchipped.

If you see Basil, or have any information on his theft, please call Gloucestershire Police/Avon and Somerset Police on 101, quoting crime reference number 479. Basil can be nervous, so if you think you see him please be cautious and call the police. You can also contact Blue Cross on  0300 790 9903 or 07768 390016 or email

Let’s get this lovely boy home as soon. Please keep a look out and share this as widely as you can.
