Letters from Ministers and DCMS

Posted on 19th February 2021

As part of the ABRS campaign for increased support for riding schools and a change in restrictions to allow them to trade, Jane Williams (ABRS Chair) wrote to the Prime Minister and her local MP – Jeremy Quin. Below is Mr. Quin’s reply.

Dear Jane,

As promised, I wrote to DCMS regarding your letter to the Prime Minister calling for more support for riding schools.

I hope you and your members have been able to access some of the support the Minister references in his letter. Ultimately what we all recognise is the need for lifting of restrictions to be lifted which would allow your riding schools to begin operating normally again.  This does depend on the data and I very much hope the Prime Minister’s announcement next week provides some comfort to your members in setting out a road map on what needs to be achieved to allow the opening up of all aspects of the leisure economy.

Thank you again for taking the time to contact me.

Yours sincerely,

Jeremy Quin
Member of Parliament for Horsham
