Posted on 12th May 2021

As part of the revamped member benefits, ABRS+ members are eligible for a 30-minute consultation with Jane Patching of Take Up The Reins, a business specialising in the guidance and support of Health and Safety in Equestrian establishments.

As an introduction to her services, on Tuesday 18th May at 7.30 pm, Jane is hosting a webinar as part of the LiveryList Yard Owner Sessions. Jane offers a friendly, jargon-busting, realistic approach to health, safety and environmental requirements. This session will help yard owners understand their basic Health and Safety responsibilities and common pitfalls as business owners, including issues specific to equestrian establishments that won’t be found on your standard Risk Assessment! The session includes how to carry out an audit/ review of their premises, how to carry out risk assessments and business owners’ legal obligations on their yard including to clients, visitors and employees. It will help advise on the necessary paperwork, where to find the right guidance and resources and how to understand and improve obligatory record-keeping procedures.

This session will be held remotely via Zoom and will last approximately one hour. There will be the opportunity for a Q&A session at the end, as well as to subsequently arrange with Jane the 30-min complimentary consultation as part of your membership benefits.

The session is free of charge for all ABRS+ members. It is also open to non-members for a small contribution of £5 per space.

To book your space, please send an email with your name and yard name (if eligible for a free space) to admin@liverylist.co.uk
