Riding School Futures: Equine Care and Coaching Project

Exciting opportunity 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗼 𝟲 riding schools in England: be part of the change!

We have 𝗮 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗼 𝟲 𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀. The ABRS+, supported by British Equestrian through Sport England, are inviting passionate and progressive riding schools to take part in a 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗶𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁.

This initiative puts horse welfare at the heart of riding school practice, guided by the Five Domains Model. A key focus will be the First Principle of Horse Training: training based on a horse’s natural behaviour and cognitive abilities. By better understanding how horses think and learn, we can build more ethical, effective, and positive training environments.
Selected schools will work closely with experienced facilitators, receive tailored support and join a small cohort of like-minded centres aiming to make real change.
