The 3rd Quarter Results of the 2023-2024 Leagues
The very popular Rosette Awards are continuing to encourage young and novice riders and horse carers to feel that they have really achieved something. The children love to show off their rosettes.
Brookhouse Farm are very enthusiastic, as are Ryders Farm. It will be interesting to see how these develop over the final quarter and who will be the League Winner.
I would like to mention Hope Meadows who have done an amazing job with only the Horse Care categories.
Having just gained the lead at the end of the Second Quarter, Follifoot Park were not going to let that slip away and have been incredibly busy over the Summer, passing an incredible 135 tests this last Quarter.
South Weylands are comfortably holding on to their second place – is anyone going to challenge them during this final Quarter? Foxhills is definitely one to keep an eye on.
It is also lovely to see our Spanish members getting onto the leader board.
Interesting that the top three are centres in the West Midlands!
Brookhouse Farm are certainly making the most of the Equestrian Care Awards, having completed 34 in this last quarter alone.
Stourport has slipped to second place as many of the helpers and staff already have the awards.
Foxhills has now matched Old Tiger with both on 21 Awards.
It is wonderful to see so many people using these log books to educate children and develop their understanding and love of horses.
Since introducing the badges, these awards have become more popular, with some Centres deciding to get all their helpers and junior staff through the Entry Level Award.
———————————————————————————————–
The test leagues allow all our centres to compete to see who can complete the most Equestrian Care Awards, Progressive Tests or Rosette Awards in Stable Management and Equitation over the course of a year.
There is a regular table of results for both leagues, with the eventual top two receiving certificates for 1st and 2nd places.
| How do they work?
The Test league is based upon the number of successful ABRS+ Progressive Rider Tests, Equestrian Care Awards or Rosette Awards completed by each centre in both the Stable Management and Equitation tests. These tests allow riders to develop their riding and handling skills in a structured manner. Find out more by clicking the links above.
You can download the syllabi for the tests, and order rosettes and other test resources in the Member Area

If you are a licensed riding school member and have never offered the tests, it’s easy to do! You can find more details in the Member Area, or Contact the ABRS+ Office with any questions. We also run webinars where you can ask questions.
At present, the ability to offer tests and rosette awards are only open to Approved Riding Centre members. We are currently considering options for Certified and Approved livery yard members to be able to offer the tests and rosette awards under certain conditions.
