Sawston Riding School

Sawston Riding School is a long-established, family-run riding centre based in the village of Sawston, near Cambridge. We offer riding lessons for children and adults from the age of 5 upwards, catering for all levels of experience — from complete beginners to more advanced riders.

Our friendly and experienced team of coaches are dedicated to helping every rider build confidence and develop their skills in a safe, supportive and enjoyable environment. We have a range of well-schooled, happy horses and ponies carefully matched to suit each rider’s ability.

Facilities at Sawston Riding School include two all-weather arenas, a cross-country field, and a Heather Moffett mechanical horse simulator, which provides an excellent way to improve balance, position and confidence. During the summer months, we also run an Equifun course, offering a fun way to practise riding skills.

In addition to regular lessons, we offer jumping, cross-country sessions and pony parties. Our aim is to make riding accessible, enjoyable, and rewarding for everyone, while ensuring high standards of horse welfare, safety and coaching.
