The new face of the ABRS

Posted on 18th April 2021

You may have noticed some changes to the ABRS website and the style in which our information has been published in recent weeks. Following the launch of our new Livery Yard membership at the end of 2020, the ABRS has made some changes to reflect this new path forward and to create an updated identity to encompass all members. Going forward, the association will be known as The Association of British Riding Schools, Livery Yards and Equestrian Centres, or the ABRS+ for short.

The ABRS+ was founded in 1954 and is the UK’s only dedicated association to represent riding schools so it is a great development that the ABRS+ can now extend their membership, support and guidance to all types of licensed and unlicensed equestrian establishments, and in particular to livery yards who are currently an undersupported yet incredibly important part of the equestrian industry.

The new look has had great feedback from members who are pleased with the updated style of the branding. As well as this, we have been working hard to update the website with a brand new set of Member Benefits, more details on how we Support Our Members and more details on the approvals process. We will be adding more content to the site soon to promote the benefits of choosing an ABRS+ Certified or Approved establishment for riding lessons, training or livery, as well as additional member information and resources.

If you are an existing riding school member who would like to find out how to add your livery yard to a dual membership as an Approved Livery Yard, or are a livery Yard owner who would like to find out more about becoming a Certified or Approved Livery Yard, you can do so here
