V&C Equestrian, based at Whitfield Farm in West Linton near Edinburgh, is an ABRS+ Approved Riding School recognised for its award-winning standards and welcoming ethos. Named Horse Scotland’s Club of the Year in 2024, the centre has built a reputation for combining professional coaching with a strong sense of community. The team of UKCC and BHS qualified instructors are fully licensed, insured, and PVG checked, ensuring the highest levels of safety and professionalism. Their facilities include spacious outdoor arenas and a carefully managed yard with a range of well-schooled horses and ponies, creating an ideal environment for riders of all ages and abilities.
V&C offers a wide programme of activities, from private and group lessons to confidence-building sessions, stable management courses, and tailored competition preparation. Younger riders are supported through initiatives such as Tiny Tots sessions, pony parties, and even unicorn visits, while more experienced members enjoy opportunities like beach rides and arena hire for dressage or showjumping practice. As a thriving Pony Club base and livery yard, the school provides a supportive pathway for riders to progress, whether their goals are recreational or competitive.
At the heart of V&C’s ethos is inclusivity, horse welfare, and the belief that riding should build confidence, resilience, and empathy. By fostering a safe, friendly, and professional environment, the school has become a hub for equestrian learning and community engagement, making it a valuable addition to the ABRS+ network of approved establishments.
