In accordance with Article 15 of the Association of British Riding Schools (ABRS) Article of Association, notice is give that
The Annual General Meeting of the ABRS will be held on Monday 15 December 2025 at 6.30pm on Zoom.
Members who wish to attend the AGM can receive the Zoom Link through the booking link, which can be found here:
The AGM will cover the following items of business:
1) Apologies for Absence
2) Minutes of AGM for year ended 31 March 2025
3) Matters arising from the Minutes
4) Notification of items to be raised under ‘Any Other Business’
5) Chairman’s Report
6) Financial Report
7) Election of the President – in accordance with Article 28, the President is elected annually
8) Election of the Treasurer – In accordance with Article 35, the Treasurer is elected annually
9) Election of Trustees – In accordance with Article 34, a proportion of the Trustees should retire by rotation annually
10) Re-appointment of Collards Chartered Accountants as Independent Examiner and authorise the Chair to fix the remuneration
11) Any Other Business
Members have the right to appoint a proxy under section 324 of the Companies Act 2006 and Article 22 of the ABRS Articles of Association. Members wishing to appoint a proxy must do so by Monday 8 December 2025; this must be a notice in writing, delivered as a document by post or email to office@abrs-info.org, and it must contain the following:

Please read the explanatory notes below
| a. In accordance with Article 38 any new nominations for Elected Members of the Executive Committee must be made in writing, signed by the nominee and at least two eligible members. Nomination should be made to the office no later than 8 December 2025
b. Any queries regarding the accounts must be received in writing by the ABRS office at least 7 days before the date of the AGM. Any queries taken on the day may or may not be able to be answered depending on the level of detail needed to answer the question. c. The Financial Report will be available 7 days prior to the AGM. |
d. The AGM will be held online and joining instructions will be sent out by email 7 days before the date of the meeting. Members wishing to attend should book using the link above.
e. An online Members meeting will take place immediately following the AGM. f. You may appoint a Proxy if you are unable to attend the AGM and wish to appoint someone to vote on your behalf at the meeting g.
