Planning the Future of my Riding Centre – Workshop Speakers – Emily Walters

Posted on 31st March 2024

We all know that horses and riding have a positive impact on mental health, we are excited that Emily Walters of Hope Meadows Equine Assisted Therapy is joining us at our Planning the Future of my Riding Centre workshop.

Emily has worked with horses for many years, as an instructor, livery yard owner, and previously running a riding school. Alongside working in the equine industry, Emily has committed herself to the study of psychology. First gaining an undergraduate degree in Psychology, Emily also holds a Master’s in Sport and Exercise Psychology from Loughborough University, and is now studying for her Doctorate as a Trainee Counselling Psychologist. Emily has also worked in the NHS for a number of years, supporting people’s mental health in both community and crisis settings.

Hope Meadows CIC was born out of a desire to combine these two passions – horses and psychology – in a way that helps local people. Emily believes the horse-human relationship has the potential to be life changing, and is driven to make this accessible and affordable for anyone who wants to experience it. Hope Meadows has grown quickly, and now supports over 100 people every month, winning awards and securing over £70,000 of funding so far. Emily finds her role as Founder & CEO hugely satisfying, and continues to work with adult clients as well as overseeing the day to day running of the organisation.”

We are very lucky to be joined by our speakers who will share their wealth of knowledge of our industry. This workshop is an ideal opportunity for riding centre owners to connect with other business owners, and learn more about legal structures and how they can create additional income by expanding their services.

Tickets cost just £10 and can be purchased HERE.
