Launch of new revolutionary Equestrian First Aid Manual

Posted on 17th March 2021

First Aid Training Co-operative and Medi-K First Aid are proud to announce the launch of a digital Equestrian First Aid manual. This is a revolutionary and unique product developed specifically for the equestrian marketplace.

First Aid Training Co-operative has been producing digital first aid manuals for the past five years and after partnering up with Medi-K First Aid in 2020 has been developing this new ‘Equestrian specific’ version of the digital manual series.

These manuals can be downloaded to your phone or tablet meaning that first aid treatment and knowledge is in your pocket in case of an emergency. Additionally, you can look up any information about first aid issues with the swipe of your finger. With around 60 pages of full colour content covering the first aid basics including dealing with bleeds and CPR (adult and child), it also deals with many equestrian specific issues such as heat stoke, horse kicks, animal bites and strings and dealing with body protectors and air vests on an injured casualty.

This is not just a first aid book, it contains links to a series of YouTube videos which demonstrate first aid principles of CPR, recovery position, dealing with limb injuries, and much, much more. Each page has specific information on topics like treating horse bites, hat removal, rope burns, hypothermia and much more, but these pages contain links to high quality equestrian specific blogs which give much further detailed information for those who want it.

Cory Jones, Director of First Aid Training Co-operative and Medi-K said ‘We are so proud of our new Equestrian First Aid manual. Customers have been asking about this for months and it is great to have released the product this sector so badly needs. This is not a book, its an interactive manual that could help you to save a life in the event of an equestrian accident.’

If you have not done a first aid course recently this manual is ideal for revision.

Other manuals are for First Aid at Work, Outdoor First Aid, Paediatric First Aid and Sports First Aid. Each of these including the equestrian version takes up the space of a couple of photos on your phone.
