ABRS Makes New Appointments

With the ABRs heading towards its 60th anniversary in 2014, promises of a restructure made at the October 2012 AGM are now taking shape.

The Association of of British Riding Schools has appointed David Pettifor as its Head of Development and Andrew Stennett as the Association's Head of Sponsorship.

Julian Marczak, Chairman of the ABRS said, "We are delighted that David and Andrew are taking up these key posts within the Association. Between them they bring a wealth of experience to the ABRS and will play major roles in its future development for the benefit of member riding schools around the country".

The ABRS and the riding schools within its membership are regarded as a major means by which participation in the sport of riding can be increased and developed from grass roots level and beyond. "We are determined to maximise upon the great opportunity which the Olympic Games created for equestrianism", continued Julian, "and the new ABRS appointments indicate our commitment to strengthen the Association's resources in order to meet its exciting challenges ahead".

We hope you will be encouraged by these appointments and will feel able to contact either David or Andrew if you have any queries or ideas relevant to their appointments. We will keep you up to date on developments as they unfold.

Ms Hannah Mays - Vice Chairman
