The ABRS has Britain's longest established riding school approval scheme (since 1954). It is the only organisation solely representing professional riding school proprietors and is thus ideally placed to assist and guide young people seeking careers with horses. It has a wide ranging examination and testing system which enables teenagers to build up worthwhile gradings and certificates in preparation for leaving school and taking up full time training.

The Association of British Riding Schools is a Company Limited by Guarantee, registered in England, number 3186520.

Registered office: Queen's Chambers, Queen's Street, Penzance, Cornwall TR18 4BH.

Meet the ABRS, Monday 29 June at the Cafe Verde, South Green Park, Mattishall, Dereham, Norfolk. More information here (PDF, new window).

Follow these link (pdf, new window) for a copy of the National Equine Welfare Protocol, and associated press release courtesy of The Horse Trust.

The Protocol sets out guidelines for how cases of equine neglect and abuse should be reported and handled, and what the relevant organisations can do to reduce the incidence of equine welfare problems. It demonstrates the commitment of the organisations and agencies to work effectively and co-operatively for the improvement of equine welfare generally and the rapid and effective relief of equine suffering.

ABRS Equine Club goes live. Visit www.equineclub.co.uk to see what it has to offer. ABRS proprietors can register to participate in the club by downloading the registration form. Completed forms should be sent to the ABRS office.
