Pre-requisites for ABRS Examinations

Exams: ITA = Initial Teaching Award, TC = Teaching Certificate, ATD = Advanced Teaching Award, PHC = Preliminary Horse Care, GC = Groom's Certificate
 
  Required for:
Riding and Road Safety (ABRS or BHS) GC, GD, ITA, TC
First Aid Certificate GD, ITA
First Aid Certificate OR Health & Safety at Work First Aid Certificate TC, ATD
CV or resume of candidate's experience in riding and teaching ATD
Grooms Certificate Log Book - to be completed and brought to exam GC

ABRS Equitation and Stable Management Tests 1 to 6
& lunge unit
1 to 10
ABRS Preliminary Horse Care & Riding ü

ABRS ITA   ü
NVQ Level 2 Level 3
BHS Stage 2 Stage 3
Riding Club Grade 2 Grade 3
Pony Club Test B Test A
National Diploma in Horse Studies ü  
A college or overseas qualification higher than above will be considered
A CV or resume of candidate's experience may be considered
